The British boxer prepares to battle Jake Paul in an eight-bout match which will be shown live on Netflix.
Briton Anthony Joshua declared he will "stamp all over" Jake Paul and "break" the American as the combatants confronted each other to build hype for next month's heavyweight fight.
Ex two time world title holder Joshua faces YouTuber-turned-boxer Jake Paul - in what is, on paper, a huge mismatch - at Miami's arena on December 19th.
Fighter's Attitude
"I will injure his face and hurt his body. My goal is to show I'm the better fighter," Joshua, 35 years old, said.
"I plan to overwhelm him. That's a fighter's mentality.
"I'm going to seriously aim to cause him pain. That's my intention."
Civil Interaction
Despite those words, a relaxed Anthony Joshua and internet personality Jake Paul - usually famous for his dramatics - shared friendly words and remained civil with each other.
Jake Paul instead criticized ex Joshua opponent Francis Ngannou and labeled him "ridiculous" after Ngannou turned down a fight offer.
Targeting Tyson Fury
Anthony Joshua, at the same time, targeted British opponent Fury - and declined a large bet 'Tyson Fury' states he will put on a victory for Paul.
"[Paul] is better than Tyson Fury - he's present here," Joshua said.
"I give him credit for that."
Serious Opponent
Despite saying he intends to hurt Jake Paul, Anthony Joshua declined to talk badly about his rival's pugilistic talent.
"Jake is a credible opponent," he stated.
Jake Paul's History
Paul - who first rose to fame on the Disney Channel - has mostly boxed MMA fighters or faded names since entering professional boxing.
He was defeated by Briton Fury in 2023.
Commercial Attraction
Nevertheless, the novice remains one of the sport's largest money-making draws, frequently receiving substantial paydays.
Forecast and Confidence
The 28-year-old forecast a KO victory in rounds four or five and claimed he would prevent the much-anticipated Fury-Joshua bout, which is allegedly in the works for two years from now.
"The next fight will be my match with Fury in the coming year," Jake Paul said.
Size Disparity
As the two fighters engaged in the customary confrontation, with their height and weight contrast on show, it highlighted just how improbable this complete situation is - and how remarkable it is that the bout is actually happening.
